Invitation to AttendOn behalf of the American Society for Rickettsiology (ASR), it is with great enthusiasm that we invite you to attend the 36th Annual Meeting of the American Society for Rickettsiology. This year’s meeting will be held at the Little Rock Marriott hotel in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. The Little Rock Marriott is expertly located in the heart of downtown Little Rock, with sweeping views of the river and within easy walking distance to multiple restaurants, museums, breweries and attractions. This setting provides the perfect backdrop for our meeting attendees who wish to learn about new areas of research, share their groundbreaking work, and establish interdisciplinary collaborations. Staying on property guarantees after-hours networking opportunities and helps ASR meet its contractual obligations at the hotel, which in turn keeps our registration rates low. Our meeting brings together an array of basic scientists, clinician scientists, and epidemiologists from academic, government, and industry sectors who work together to address fundamental questions in rickettsial pathogenesis to improve diagnostics and therapeutics. The 2027 ASR Meeting will focus on emerging approaches and concepts in the relationship between rickettsial bacteria and both their vertebrate and arthropod hosts. The Scientific Program Committee has put together an exciting schedule of events, including plenary and keynote lectures from leading experts in and out of the rickettsia field. This was a widely popular approach in recent meetings, and we are excited to offer a program where basic scientists work side-by-side with translational researchers to confront significant problems in the field of rickettsial diseases. | Registration opens in late Fall 2026 Important Dates

The ASR prides itself on supporting trainees and early career investigators. With the help of our sponsors, we provide travel and family assistance grants so trainees can more readily attend the meeting. To further support our trainees, we host a mentoring session focused on transitioning from the trainee stage (pre- and post-doctoral) to a range of scientific careers. Through these financial- and community-driven offerings, we hope to provide scientists more chances to thrive in their careers and advance our understanding of rickettsial diseases. Your sponsorship enables our society to bring cutting-edge research and training to a diverse community.
